Our First Snow Day!

Today was another exciting day. We woke to a winter wonderland and a bright Chilliwack morning, something that has become a little rare these days! Starting with a great early morning prayer with Sarah B., followed by a fun waking of my girls and an introduction to the miracle of snow! By 9 we had two snowmen standing (an almost cleared lawn in the process) and were headed off to the Cheam Centre to swim with our friends Mrs.Kristy, Nora and baby Shae. Back by 11am for our lunch time guests, the Dibski's,  followed by a tea party and play in the snow with the Farr's. A short quiet time from 4-5 (while Charis and Skye has music lessons) and then the Farr family joined us again for dinner! Finally, a girls movie night (Daddy had to work until 11pm :( )with my little loves on the couch with some junk food watching Anna and the King (the cartoon version, quite odd). I love these full days of impromptu fun with friends!

So funny the different response to snow... very typical with new things that Emily isn't sure of....:)
Oh... and I have no idea where Emily got her "OMG" from. She turns 2 and all of a sudden she's got a little potty mouth!

All ready and very pink (can you believe I have yet to buy a snow suit? We have such generous people in our lives!)

By 8:45 Emily and Kara snowmen were standing....

I outfitted "Emily" and "Kara" with a little help from my silly girls. Introducing....Emily the clown and Kara the pirate!

After going for our weekly swim at the local pool with Nora and baby Shae and Mrs.Kristy we headed home for lunch with our landlords. It was a great visit with 5 under the age of 4. The bouncy castle of course made another appearance!

The 3 oldest loved it..... Emily and Rowen- not so much.
My grumpy Emily bear went for her nap and then tea party with another set of friends- Charis and Skye!
Nothing like a "chocolate tea" party with marshmallows and whip cream!
A sunny snow day in Chilliwack with our dear friend's the Farr's.

My very sleepy and very sweet little lady.

No hills nearby so the next best thing was Mommy pulling!

OH to be a kid again.... actually I was... they pulled me next!

Hugging my first Chilliwackian snowman, Kara, the pirate. Still standing (after reattaching his head).

Mourning the loss of Emily, the clown. Who crumbled under the Chilliwack thaw less than 10 hours after she was errected.

The newest development- Emily potty training!

The little clown proudly pushed her stool between the two potties and cleverly sat on IT when I asked her to show me where she goes potty.

"What Mommy? This isn't what you meant? You don't actually think I'm going to sit on that hand-me-down potty do you?"

Showing off her potty dance, but missing the sitting on the potty part.

So happy with her panties, nonetheless. Too bad she missed Kara's first set, as she's far too big for them now.

Showing me that she does KNOW what her potty is, she's just not going to be forced to sit on it.
